I’ve had my BD 5 on my 2021 Chevy for a little over two years and have used it quite a bit. We camp 4-6 trips per year and usually have a two day drive. My truck is also one of my daily drivers, so it gets used a lot.
A few days ago, I noticed a bolt lying in the truck bed and it obviously had come from the hitch. I grabbed a wrench and ratchet, reinstalled the bolt (the nut was there, too) and tightened all the bolts on the hitch. All took at 1/4 turn or more to tighten. And one took over two turns. I was quite surprised as this was completely unexpected to me.
So it you are using Hensley Trailer Savers, check your bolts!
