OMG Why show a video from a foreign country where they regularly tow very short trailers with very small SUV's ?
That combination is conducive to the situation we just watched. A quick actuation of the trailer brake would have stopped the sway very quickly.
Also the wheel was not the cause of the accident. The wheel was destroyed by the accident. It has no relevance at all.

Glad you got that figured out! So why was the trailer brake needed to get things under control?
