Hello out there..

I am Vernon from Anaheim, California... Yes, the House of the Mouse. I am currently in the middle of a Cargo Conversion. I have taken on a duel axle 2025 - 7 x 16 x 7 Pace American for this project.

Yes, this project has cost WAAAY more than expected, but if I went back in time with this knowledge, I would still do it.

I am not far from completion, or so I think.. lol I keep adding and upgrading.. at the bottom is a list of my gadgets. I am open to questions and comments.

The first photo, below is BEFORE. This was the day I took delivery. The following photo is AFTER, or as it looks today..

I have 2 beds. I have a twin and a queen. I built them as bunk beds, sideways, in the rear. Since I am still working on the trailer, I have purchased... but not installed... the mattresses.. but here are a few build photos:

The trailer is much farther along, than these photos show.. they are the only ones I have of the layout of the beds. I can take a few more tomorrow, of what they look like now.

Nice work.

Looking around in my 7x16 I can't imagine all those features, and mine has a nose.

Oh! And for the record. I am on my 5th rebuilding of what I thought was finished in 2016. That's the problem with being a maker.

I am a 7 x 16 x 7. I have put as much into this thing as I can possibly fit.. several people have said, "Looking at the outside, you would never know all of this is inside."

This is just a small sample of the bazillion pictures I have of the build (lol)

Outstanding!

How did you get a bed in there?

Inside pictures please.
Hi Kevin,

I just snapped a few shots of the bed layout. Please pardon the dust (and tools) she is not in 100% show condition yet (lol)..

The wood on the lower bed is hinged for storage under..

So the intended use for my cargo has shifted through the years. Can I ask how you intend to use your creation?

Basically just vacations, extended travel.. I like the idea of bringing my own, "hotel" and not having to worry about what was in, or done, with the bed before I got there.

Once I starting building this, there was about 3 weeks or me sitting in the middle of the floor, with my hand on my face, wonder what the heck did I get myself into.. lol

I came up with a concept (I will enclosed the photo below) that I thought I could zap through for a few grand and a month or two. Neither of these thoughts came to fruition.

I stared the build 01 June 2025.. I thought, I can do this for about 10 grand, not counting the cost of the trailer.. The only 2 things that changed from the floor plan above was the electrical closet in the back. That is now a full size closet with the fresh water tank, a drawer and home to the solar array... and the breakfast bar is a dinette

Needless to say, the passing thought of 10 grand went out the door...... several times..... I found I spent too much time on the internet looking up builds. I changed my thought process so many times...

I still have about a week or two before completion, and possibly a few grand left to spend. I am at a staggering cost right now

I have tossed around the idea of completing this, selling it, and building either a Teardrop, or Squaredrop... which I should have just done in the first place (lol)..

Will leave my suggestions at the door. You built it, use it. Me thinks. I like my hf trailer build to sleep in, but the cargo is much more comfortable to live in.
