Just found this forum. Can’t tell you how many times forums have saved my life on various projects.
I’m kind of at a crossroads right now in that I have an aging 24’ Salem TT and an aging Suburban to pull it with and I’m short of money to throw at them. Still, the least expensive vehicle you can own is the one you already have and I certainly don’t see myself spending $100k for a new rig if I get rid of these. I’m just looking to see what everyone else is doing with their rigs and maybe get some ideas.
Thanks for having me.

welcome from Wisconsin!

Welcome. Maybe do this up grade in stages and up grade the tow vehicle first. This may not be the best time to shop for a new or used car or truck , start the search. Have an idea of what you want. Good luck.

Good point. I can't be spending $60K on a new truck anyway and if I'm going to change this is definitely not a good time to be buying. It is a good time to sell though but going into winter in the NW I don't really want to be without my only 4x4 just in case. I have a low-ball offer on the trailer but even at a decent price I hesitate to let it go even though it needs work.

I’m sure you will find the right truck. I know a lot will disagree with this but I have towed with both gas and diesel, 1/2 and 3/4 ton. No substitute for 3/4 diesel, towing it is the best. In a few years you may want another camper you will have more options with the diesel. Good luck.
