We're getting a Chapparral 355FBX and am considering hitches. At first, a sliding hitch was a no-brainer, but I really like the idea of saving the payload weight on the truck by going with the Reese Goosebox. After researching for hours, I can't tell for sure if I'm going to have problems while turning with the Goosebox.

Does anyone happen to have this setup and can enlighten me as to whether or not I'd be Ok with the Goosebox?

You may be on track going gooseneck. We had a Reese fifth wheel hitch. I think if you tow with less than a 8’ bed you will need to watch as you turn. My hitch was a slider but I did not slide it much. Seems a good idea now adding the hitch weight in the truck.

I can not add on towing with GN. My thought, you will not have any clucking on the hitch.
Good luck.

You won't need a slider with your Ford. I had 2 F350 SB pulling a Montana 3610 5er. B&W 20k fifth wheel hitch. Best system I've ever had.
