Rally Hoots 2025

I mean no disrespect, but as I recall, there were only at best 3 questions. I think it was something like

• Are you going to Hoots 2025
• Do you agree not to advertise, and
• Do you agree to the rules.

As I said, I'm only going from memory. I answered "yes" I was going, I asked it having a MagnaShade was considered advertising, and I answered "yes" that I agree to the rules. Clicked on Join I believe.

Bam, instant denial. So where did I go wrong?

No idea Jim, what Facebook presented me was an application with none of the questions answered. Also, when you apply, it sends an email to the admins, we then have to go look at the application and approve or deny it. So nothing would have instantly denied you.

Anyway, as I said you just need to apply again.

Jim your magnashade is not a problem.

The policy is in place to protect the rally attendies from companies that are not officially invited from attending the rally and hard selling to the Hoot's.

Unfortuantly this has become more of an issue in recent years so we had to put a policy in place so there is no confusion.

Actully the policy is for the rally itself. It's included in the registrion form and by registring you agree to that policy, but we have also added it to the Facebook group as a reminder.

In the end, if you are handing out koozies at your site, no it's not a big deal.

In the spirit of Hoots we are all adults and I doubt there will be any issues but due to some near issues we felt it important to put the policy in place so that we have a recourse on the off chance that somone goes over the line.

Honestly, Hoots is not like that at all. Hoots is different than most rallies. We do havce vendors come in to give talks, service your tow bar, etc. But we don't do the room full of vendors trying to sell things. Now that's not to say you will not come away decing you need to upgrade to lithium batteries or just desperatly "need" some other upgrade, or want to go on the trip to Alaska everyone was talking about. So I'm sure you will need that checkbook.
