I recently saw a posting on the Facebook Jayco Precept site, regarding a hot catalytic converter melting the storage bins under the coach. So I decided to check my coach out and sure enough we had the same problem. I determined that the damage is caused when sitting and idling. I measured the temperature of the catalytic converter at almost 400F. which if just sitting would trap the heat in that area. Jayco has issued a recall on newer coaches (2020), however that doesn't help those of us that have older coach's. I would advise everyone with a Jayco coach to check under their coach.
