Question Hot water heater issues

Wildwood 171 rbxl with propane hot waget works ok when I first turn it on but will not come back on to keep water hot.
it will click and has a explosion in the explosion chamber but goes off immediately.

That sounds like either a dirty/miss adjusted spark rod, or a possible control board problem. The first thing I would do is pull the burner and spark rod and clean everything up. Then ensure the spark rod is about 1/8" from the burner tube.
