I have toured the plant in Gaffney and enjoyed the experience. I have also, unfortunately, had to use the 24/7 hot line due to breakdowns on the road and were helped as best they could. That being said, two long tows in 60k miles seems excessive to me for a chassis as expensive as these are. One of the tows was at 5k miles on the odometer and was for a $3 CAC clamp that was over tightened at the factory and broke on the road.
I have also had long waits for chassis parts. I just now was shipped two new front airbags after waiting a month with no inventory available anywhere in the US. You would think that airbags would be a well stocked standard item. There have also been several recalls that have been handled less than satisfactorily.

We really like our coach and have over 70k on it. I just wish the chassis was a bit more reliable.

Would be nice if they folded in the Superstar / Supreme Air lines into the FCCC as well.

Since the chassis is done by Transwest they are not “officially” Freightliner Custom Chassis’ as far as getting in the app, etc.
