The driving was absolutely miserable. We spent $4K on aftermarket things, but it didn't make a difference. As a driver, I had to move the steering wheel back and forth microscopically the entire time. The coach wanted to fling itself left and right, even with tiny adjustments.
 
Did one of those aftermarket accessories include a steering stabilizer? I put a Safe T Plus on my Bay Star and it made a considerable difference in the steering play, granted, you're still driving a house on a truck bed.
 
So, I used to average 550 miles a day. On the way home from Newmar I did anywhere from 280 to 360 a day.
What do you generally average.

There is no right or wrong answer. At some point, if need arises, I may do the 550 a day, its all about personal stamina, not what anyone feels is right for anyone else.
I travel off freeways and target 200 miles which takes about 6 hours including stops
