jromito, not sure the question is understood. How to lower the couch? From my little world, you don't lower it, it unfolds. They are commonly referred to as jackknife couches.
You are talking about the couch that turn into a bed right?
Take the cushions off. At the back of the rear of the seating area, lift that up and out.
