We are camped between San Antonio and Austin doing a few motorcycle rides in this area. Today was the River Road ride along the Guadalupe River. Yesterday was spent riding around Canyon Lake west of San Marcos. We booked a week in this area so we could visit our oldest Grandson who lives in Austin. He flew to St. Louis this weekend though to catch some Cardinal games. It will all work out though because he gets back a couple days before we continue our slow trek east.
@FL-JOE Three Twisted Sister ride is not too far from your location, you might check it out. Here's a site with some info.

Enjoying the nice weather we are having. Not.

Yikes, we are only 6 degrees cooler. Very unusual, and disgusting after our lovely, cool summer! One of our daughters lives in SF, and they are suffering, as no AC, as it is hardly ever needed. Let us just hope the power grid holds. If all goes down, we will turn the generator on in the coach, and make use of it at home. We have it plugged in to 30 amps, but would need both ACs. 😳 Judy D

Preparing to leave tomorrow. Too much rain. Will likely delay a day.

Our kids reserved campsites for us, them, and a family friend. Took all the grandkids that would go and way too much food. Good time was had by all. A small thunderstorm Sunday evening with us perched on top of a hill was pretty exhilarating for a bit but it soon settled into rain.
We only killed one, a training-wheeled bicycle on gravel cartwheeled into a ditch on too steep a grade. Luckily Mom was able to revive him with a few bandaids to the knee.

We were considering the Three Sisters ride but may not have time before we leave. From where we are it will take a couple hours to get there, about 140 miles out, then the ride is around 100 miles from what I have read. With the hot days it may be a little long of a ride on this trip.

Thanks for the info though.
