This $3000 option has been one of my greatest disappointments with this coach. The only reason I purchased it was for additional assistance when in reverse. In spite of the users manual on Newmar’s website, when placed in reverse, the 360 view disappears and is replaced with a rear cam view. I seriously felt I was sold a bill of goods.

I fixed it. There is a Connexx switch box among the bird’s nest of wires in the dash. Unhook the molex connector containing the rear, left, and right input wires. You will now have a 360 cam system that functions like you thought it would.

If you want to retain the turn signal cams, just leave the molex connector in place and snip the rear input wire.

If you wish, you can still call up the rear camera view from the camera control screen on the Xite.

Wow, thanks for sharing. I have another item on my to-do list.

Interesting. Do you have two screens? One dedicated to backup and turn, and one to radio/360 cam?

Is this leaving the dedicated backup/turn screen alone, and only impacting video on the Xite? I would love to see the 360, including the front of the coach, when reversing, but it always switches to read cam when backing up, and even though I have a small top down view on the left of the xite screen, the bigger image isn't usually what I want.

Thanks! This was something on the list. !!

This solution works for my Dutch Star. I don’t know how it translates to other models and years. Components used by Newmar change at the cyclic rate, and with the supply chain issues over the past few years, you’re liable to find anything in that dash.

To answer the two-screen question, here is what I have. The screen on the right is for the cameras. The left is the Xite radio.

OK, on my Ventana (special order, wasn't a normal option when I got it), the left screen is only for the standard backup/turn cameras. The right is Xite, and I have an option above "FAV" that says "CAM" which is the 360. So, in reverse, I see the normal reverse cam on the left screen, and on the right, I see the 360 with a full top view on left 1/3 of screen and top+rear reverse on left portion, similar to what you show now.
