Pulling into the fuel station in the Canyon Star, especially at the beginning of a trip, it is always a challenge to line up the fuel filler with the gas pump. The fuel filler is some 30' back from the drivers position well behind the Drive Axle on the Canyon Star.
So a backup camera was installed under the fuel door and wired to the radio Cam feature.

Now it is just a matter of pulling up to the fuel lane and watch the radio video until the gas pump lines up. The back up camera has lines to help you gauge your distance from the fuel isle as well.

This is especially useful when I travel alone.

Very Cool.

Super jealous of that driver’s side door! Was that standard?

No, optional piece. I use it as an emergency door should things go wrong when I am driving.

Yes, the driver door is on the build sheet.

In the Ventana LE that's about where the DEF tank is located. I need to do the same thing for DEF. Why they located the the DEF tank 20' behind the fuel door I just don't understand.

Great Idea. How did you get the wire to the back of the radio?

Ran the wire along the inside bottom edge of the basement compartments to the engine bay, then through the firewall to the back of the radio.
