I got an email last night that ioverlander has released a new version of the app (ioverlander 2) that is available in the app stores, and it appears to be a more robust version (menu options etc) than the original I have on my phone currently. They are moving to a paid subscription model (who isn't these days), and while there will be a basic free version, the paid version allows you to download maps which is not a feature I really use. It is my go to resource for finding overnight stays, competing with RV overnight parking, which got integrated into roadtrippers recently and rv parky.

They recently bought Campendium which was a good free app to merge with iOverlander. The hardcore BLM users on Campendium are up in arms.

I’m pissed as I don’t want to pay for it since. It’s been free . The dowloadmapsis a pain- it’s not quick and easy to use anymore- nothing is free any more and we use it for free camps . Who wants to at $50+for overnight boondock?
