My Flintlock would probably freeze and hard to manipulate with gloves on. Besides it was snowing like a crazy.

Yes, PA has late Deer Archery & Muzzle loader seasons until January 19th. Starts the day after Christmas on Dec 26, 2026. It's one of the toughest hunts of the year usually because of the snow and bitter cold.

When guys like me didn't get their deer during previous rifle season they still hunt in the late season. It's a lot bigger challenge to bag a buck with a ,50 caliber Flintlock. You only get one shot, and when you drop that that hammer on the flint, hoping the spark sets off the powder in the frizen for a bang.
