I still struggle with how I'd handle this weather situation. The sad fact is RV campgrounds don't really have good shelters. Some do offer them such as bathrooms or some facility on the grounds. They certainly can't handle the number people on site and pets that come along with them. Not sure what the best course of action really is in these situations.

 
Sadly, sometimes it’s just your time. Mother Nature is one tough nut not to be played with. I guess prior planning can help but here on the west coast there’s not a lot you can do if the next 7.x quake hits other than having an earthquake survival kit ready. Can’t constantly be worrying about things beyond your control.
 
We will be traveling from TX on I-20 to Atlanta and then I-85 to Gafney, SC in a couple of weeks and yep, tornadoes are a concern this time of year.
 
We try to be judicious in where we plan to go in spring, to minimize risk of storms. But impossible to avoid all risk.
Very sad story.
