Lake Superior Circle tour experience

We are planning to do the Lake Superior Cirlce Tour in early September. Seeking any advice on your experiencess with Provincial Parks campgrounds in Ontario, and destinations or activities? What worked well, or not so well? If Provoincoial Parks campgrounds are not so good, what private campgrouinds were well run and worth the stay? We appreciate hearing your experiences.

Years ago, I was in Duluth Minnesota and stayed at a hotel near the marina. The marina has an RV park there. lakeheadboatbasin.com. We took the highway next to the lake up to Thunder Bay. Had a lot of fun. If your into aircraft, Cirrus Aircraft is built there. A lot of historic stuff too.
