One leg of the landing gear had problems retracting, so I disassembled it. The upper wheel bearing was in pieces. I haven't been able figure out from the manufacturer any part number or size for this bearing. I am curious if I could get any generic bearing from a parts store. The inner race was intact so I could know the 'height' and inside diameter and just guess on the outer dimension. Has anyone ever run into this? Thanks in advance

Welcome @Aaronj - which RV are you referring to and do you have any pictures? Please complete your profile when able, link in my signature below.

2016 keystone Laredo 285sbh fifth wheel I think I updated my profile right. I will get some pics and post this evening.

First pic is what's left of the upper bearing. Second is the gears. Third is the shaft outside of the tube, the bearing needing replacement will slide on the end after it's in the square tube. Fourth, obviously the overall tube.

I don't know if you have them in GA, but here in FL I used Miller Bearings. They will be able to advise and find you a bearing that fits.

Thanks for the input. I found a local bearing shop I plan on going to today, hopefully they can get the right size based on what's left of the bearing.

Can't tell from the picture, but there should be a number on the inner race. That is all a bearing house needs to match it.

Didn't see any numbers on it. But I could have overlooked them. I will check. Thanks

No numbers or identification marks of any kind. The bearing shop had to order both bearings, Im gonna go ahead and replace the lower bearing while it's apart.

strange. In almost 50 years of working on vehicles I don't think I have ever seen a bearing that didn't have numbers on the inner race. At least the bearing house was still able to fix you up.

There isn't numbers or any marks on the lower bearing either and it was still intact. The guys at the shop found it strange that the lower bearing had standard dimensions and the upper or what was left of it had metric dimensions
