An electrical question. LED lights inoperative when the awning is open.

Background: While at Newmar doing "CPU" with the new Canyon Star, checked the awning operation and LED light operation twice, on 2 different days. All was fine. Yesterday I opened the awning, cut on lights, & nothing. While outside, I checked all the wiring that I could see, for any cuts, chafing, breaks, bad connections, etc. & found nothing wrong. Went inside, removed the switch from the control panel, & wiring connections were fine. Removed them & reinserted the terminals into the switch. Still nothing. I then checked the fuses in the panels, no fuses blown. Removed & changed the one to the awning and it was fine too.
I then go to Newgle, log in and start looking. Was taken to a link about the LED lights in the awning, followed up on the connections shown; that I could get to, no issues found. But, in the schematic, there is a 2 amp inline fuse holder shown; but I know not where! No information nor indication as to the location, shown in the link. I'm dumbfounded! I even checked to see that all GFCI were set! HELP!!
I need someone with better diagnosis skills than me!

I would have suggested going to the 12V supply probably behind the cord reel and see if there is a fuse there. You may want to call Newmar per the number on your drivers side window and see what they offer.

As an RV tech, we have found fuses behind the panel coming off of the switch for the awning lights, not sure why they do it like that since it is fused through the panel, but you may need to dig a little behind your panel.

Discovered that one must turn "ON", the awning light switch, and then use the Remote to turn them "Off/On", and to brighten & dim.
Once again, "Newbie" operating error!

The RV awning LED lights will work as soon as you attach them to the mounting hardware according to the relevant instructions. These lamps have an outlet that you need to plug in.

My original post was back when I first got the new Coach. The "Remote" is what operates the lights!
But thanks for your post, all is well with the awning & the lights too!
