Due to age and some medical issues we are starting to consider finding a Park we like and be permanent.

Normally we park with the gray tanks open until 2 - 3 days prior to dumping the black and then use the grays to rinse the black. I also have a black tank flush hook up for a hose and I do use it too.

If I run the black spray while I dump the black tank then fill the black 2 or 3 times using the sprayer and dump until the discharge is clear will that be sufficient without having to use the grey for “cleaning”?

yes

We leave both closed until ready to dump either or both.

If both, black first, use tank flush, then grey. We don’t use the grey to back fill the black either. Black tank flush each time dumping has kept them clean and reading properly.

I never fill them when dumping - only time I have filed was when I was calibrating the level readings.

I leave both tanks closed until ready to dump, regardless of how long we stay at a location. The fuller the tanks, the better the vortex to suck everything out. It seems to work, I haven't had any significant sensor issues that weren't corrected with a rinse & flush.
