Hi all. Thought I would share my modification to my 2020 Georgetown GT5.
As you all know access of the engine compartment is almost non existent to check vital fluids like Brake fluid, coolant or check transmission fluid or engine oil level.
I have a solution. I removed that stupid hood bracket and hinge assembly. Built two aluminum brackets made to attach to the hood, on left and right sides where the hinge attached, and rests on the front grill.
( See picture 1)
The existing hood locks are left in place with a third centered on the top of the hood. This latch secures the top of the hood to body.( see picture 2)
Now the entire hood is removed easily allow for better access to those vital items.( Picture 3)
