Not sure how many folks worry about fasteners during their walk around. However during my early years before fasteners were quite as reliable as today, I always looked for a convenient way to determine if a fastener had moved, loosened or someone had tampered with it.

Short of doing a walk around with a torque wrench checking wheel lugs, I started using indicator paint. A quick look tells me if there has been any movement of the fastener.

Am I just being anal, or do others use indicator paste or paint to mark fasteners?
