Would like to escape Texas heat next summer. We (wife and I) have a new 22’ B motor home. Spent several years summering in New Mexico & Colorado. Would like to now see what’s up north. Would like to start in May, stay a few months, leave before the snow falls. Now thinking about upper Wisconsin & Minnesota along Great Lakes. Open to spending weeks to a month at small to medium private campgrounds, clean with facilities and some water view. The coach is small so parking space should not be a problem. We appreciate any suggestions. I’m Terry DW Pat.

We love Michigan Upper peninsula. Yesterday morning was 43F 6am, by lunch it was high 70’s..

Do you know of any quaint little parks that we could chill out for while with some good sea food joints nearby?

Can’t help you there. I don’t like sea food. My favorite food in season here is cherry pies.
You have to do your own search and pick the RV park you like. Lots of nice parks here.

Sounds good, I can do cherry pie. The search and pick a park is going to be tough. Things have changed a lot. Years past we could just hop in the coach head out, see an area we liked, find a campground and pull in. Now we’re finding we need a reservation. We were able to book a few months down in Florida starting September, but we’re very familiar with the areas. Up north we don’t know where to start looking. Haven’t done the overnight at Walmart yet, may have to try it.

Most trips are memorable. In the mid 1980s we bought a Blue Bird motor home from Holland Rv, took a quick trip up the lake coast. Remember a really nice park with huge sand dunes (full of poison ivy) DW had bad reaction, had to go to ER for treatment. We know what the stuff looks like now and stay away. A long time ago and that’s all we know about camping in Michigan.
