Seventy miles from the house the fan clutch started going out. Eased into a shop that I have an interest in. We removed the protection shield to get to the fan. Unhooked the in-line module between the wiring harness and the fan clutch. We gathered up all the numbers(VIN, module number, and coach number) and called Freightliner in OKC. He explained that the switch on the clutch is, what I would call a normally closed switch. Power is applied to open the switch when the fan is not needed. If the circuit loses power for any reason the clutch cuts in and the fan runs continuously. We removed the clutch and it spun freely. It has a viscous section like the old oil clutches of old. $1203 later we should be mobile tomorrow. That is the part only. Anyone else going through this, the clutch is a left hand thread
