I was on way back from trip and I heard a mound bang. Stopped, everything looked good. Got to barn, hit auto-level...nothing happened. Opened door and steps only partially opened. I could use step-override switch to get out, but as soon as door shut they closed.

I need some advice on what to look for.

Sounds like a hydraulic leak. Fluids all look good?

I think @Neal is on the right track. Check your HWH hydraulic fluid reservoir to see if it is low. The loud bang you heard could have been a rock taking out a hydraulic line. If that's the case, it would affect the jacks, steps and full-wall slide mechanism.

I’ve checked all the lines and all are good. I checked fluid all good. Ran full way slide in, no issue. The steps still not fully extending unless HWH override is pressed. Secondly the jacks are unresponsive. Any further suggestions?

Have you called Newmar? If not, I think that would be a good place to start. It does seem like you are going to need some professional assistance.

Are you able to record it (video) and point out the sound? I think anyone you go to for this issue will likely need it. I'd love to hear what you're hearing.
