Standard issue 2016 Ventana toilet: 🚽 The thing just started making a low rumbling sound when flushed and seems to have some vibration it didn’t have before. I’m guessing something is stuck in it and I’ll have to somehow clear it. Problem is I know nothing about these things - not even how to remove it. So if anyone has “been there done that” please advise. Not a job I want to do but also one I’m pretty sure I shouldn’t put off in hopes it improves by itself.

If it were me I'd have a few runs with some TP to hope it catches whatever it is and "passes".

I was thinking TP might be the issue, but maybe thats worth a try. Is that a typical first attempt?

I've had a few stoppages which were related to using kleenex in the toilet. That stuff is tougher than you think, so only TP goes in now. In those few scenarios I gave it time, just leave it alone for a few hours and let it break down. Then start triage.

for reference according to the build sheet its a Dometic 8700 series, which I expect is fairly standard. I’m looking for a manual now.

Thanks…

How do you paste a “Solved“ label on a thread? It was just a wad of toilet paper, and since the Admiral’s hands are smaller than mine, and since I was cooking breakfast, she volunteered to dig in and “handily” cleared the obstruction. Its a happy day in “MoCa” (Mobile Cabin)!

Edit the original post and change the thread prefix.
