An RV for sale near us - looks pretty good, but it has a macerator sewer line? Has anyone had experience with these? All my husband can think about is that Robin Williams movie.
Two others we’re considering also meet our criteria, but are located 2-1/2 days away.

Are you talking about a sani-con system?

No issue with that

If, indeed, we are talking about the Sani-con macerator system, it is great. Not sure what make/model coach you are looking at, but there were some installation issues with the Sani-con on Newmar Dutch Star models in the 2016-2019 (?) era, but the system itself works especially well in conjunction with macerator toilets.

If it is the Sani-con, your husband will like not having to mess with connected and disconnecting 3" sewer hose all the time. It's one more "thing" on the RV that can break, but generally a positive add not a negative. Just don't flush anything with strings that can get wrapped in the impeller (dental floss, hygiene products, etc).

Good info - it’s a older Tiffin - I didn’t realize there was a macerator toilet not sure if this has one - we’re taking another look Firday.

I’ll tell him, and yeah, one more complication haha.
