Left on Sat from home it was 22 deg with my 91 yr old mother and 2 dogs. Stopped n Cartersville Ga. and dropped my mother off at my little brothers house so she could visit through Thanksgiving. Then headed down I75 to Orlando to visit my daughter for Thanksgiving. Stopped in Unadilla for the night, then finished the trip Sunday.
Atlanta was a nightmare. They’re working on I75 and half the lanes were closed backing traffic for miles. People trying to use the bypass were lined up for miles as well. Finally got into moving traffic about 40 miles north of Macon Ga.
The next day was ok, but made a mistake of not getting gas before leaving Ga. In Ga I found gas at $2.78 gal. Fl it is $3.50 and up so I never stopped for gas. Gainesville Fl on was packed all the way to the Fl Turnpike. A 4 hr trip took me almost 7 hrs. At least when we were stopped on the highway I could put it in park and get up and stretch. Lol
Twila left on Sunday to drive straight through and meet me in Orlando with the truck. She had the same problems on I10. She diverted to Hwy 19 which was much better.
Anyway made it to Clerbrook Rv Golf Resort. I have a good spot and great cell service. They don’t have Wi-Fi.
