I watched a Youtuber do a test on the Magna Shade and decided to duplicate it; Here is what I found. With no Magna shade with the sun shining in my front window, the outside temperature was 86 and my dash and front blackout had a temperature of 97. I put the Magna shade up just on the front window and waited a couple of hours and the outside temps went up to 97 but the temperature on my blackout shade and dash dropped to 91 degrees. Then I pulled the shade off and it took about 45 minutes for the blackout shade temperature to get to over 115 degrees.
I conclude the Magna shade really does help keep your RV cooler.
