I watched a Youtuber do a test on the Magna Shade and decided to duplicate it; Here is what I found. With no Magna shade with the sun shining in my front window, the outside temperature was 86 and my dash and front blackout had a temperature of 97. I put the Magna shade up just on the front window and waited a couple of hours and the outside temps went up to 97 but the temperature on my blackout shade and dash dropped to 91 degrees. Then I pulled the shade off and it took about 45 minutes for the blackout shade temperature to get to over 115 degrees.

I conclude the Magna shade really does help keep your RV cooler.

@Gizmo, having any battery drain issues issues when towing your Rubicon? TIA

Nope, we haven't in the two years we have been towing it. We even use a Patriot II breaking system and have towed two days in a row without starting the Rubicon.

Excellent, got a 5 hour trip next week.

- just hooked my JL up today - thanks

Now back to Magna-shade discussion…

Magna shade does work well.

We see similar results, the reduction in radiant heat is not just a small amount, it is VERY noticeable during full sun days. Of course, the A/C runs much less too.

We would absolutely get the Magna shade again!

Wow! For $675 it should have an air conditioner included!!

I also use the Magna Shade tire covers. Very easy to install and remove.
