Okay, I have a Sikaflex 221 tube of caulk, I use it. What's the best way to make it ready to use for the next time? I just spent 10-15 minutes trying to get the tip cleared so I could get caulk flowing for the next use. What am I missing?

My method of preserving opened caulk tubes (haven't actually done it with Sikaflex, however) is to use a snug-fitting nail to seal the tip. When ready to put into storage, squeeze about 1/4" of caulk out of the tip and push the nail through it and into the tip up to the nail head. Store the caulk tube vertically with the tip up. When you need to use the tube again, pull the nail out of the tip (pliers help here) and the cured plug of caulk in the tip should come out with it.
