As you can see by the previous threads about the toad/trailer/motorcycle issues, we’re exploring possibilities in the RV life.
We have talked about a 5th wheel toy hauler, so looking at them and trucks.
The Ram Mega Cab gives a lot of extra room for the dogs, naps, etc. Is the 6.4 ft bed enough for the big 5th wheel rigs? Ram doesn’t offer an 8ft bed with the big cab.

We will get the biggest TH available, probably 45 ft or so.

It depends on the pin on the fifth wheel. I think you can get modern ones that allow you to corner decently with a short bed. My wife's grandparents had an older (~90s) fifth wheel and the pin design was such that it could only be towed with an 8 foot bed.

Probably not without a slider but that's what they're made for! 😊

They also make a kingpin offset that can be mounted on the trailer. It keeps the weight centered over the axle but shifts the trailer by up to 18", I think. I think some are actually adjustable on the offset amount.
