So I've run into half an issue today. I ordered an Equilizer 4-point hitch to give myself a little extra peace of mind for our trailer. When I was going through all the parts I noticed that one of the pieces was missing for the "L" brackets. I called the company and they're shipping the pieces over to me so no issue there.

When we got the trailer we got a Reese 2-point hitch from the dealer. Great hitch, but one thing I was thinking about since it also uses a similar design with the "L" brackets, would it be a bad idea to use the existing brackets from the previous hitch until the part comes in? It's the same concept, just they would need adjusted for the new hitch from what I understand. They're right at the length they're supposed to be with the new hitch.
