Good shots, and lucky you.
I hauled out two of my DSLR cameras and tripods. I had a 300mm and a 200-400mm lens ready to go here in northern New Mexico. The moonrise was at 7:31, with an eclipse starting at 8:33. This gave me ample time to adjust my camera settings and take several practice shots. Precisely at 8:18, it came downpour lasting close to 1 ½ hours. I was so disgusted after an hour of rainfall that I removed the lens and packed the equipment away. I checked every half hour, but the cloud cover never lifted.
