this tiny state park is roughly located in Central Texas, less than an hour from Waco (which some claim to be the center of Texas). The land was donated by an early supper who is known as mother Neff in later developments by the civilian conservation corps in the 1930s. Mini remnants of the CCC camp still exist and some are still in fine condition including the water cistern tower, and the old Superintendent's home, now a group rental facility. There's also a good-sized old cave/overhang used by the Tonkawa tribes.
The pads are all concrete, picnic table area is pea gravel, and even includes a post for hanging a lantern or your food bag. There's also plenty a room for a tent, if you wanted to pitch a tent next to your RV.
Restrooms have decent showers but we didn't use them. Camp hosts onsite keep things shipshape - they even keep all the gravel raked.
(I didn't include any pictures because my phone takes gigantic pictures and it takes time to shrink them down.)
We enjoyed this as a getaway to work on paperwork. We could hike all the trails at the park in half a day. It's a great place in the winter. It does have pull-throughs. The office staff - extremely helpful and polite. It would be a great place to perch for a couple of weeks in the winter.
