Seems I'm late to the party (again) - you already got the answers. Let us know what you end up doing and how it works out.
I ordered the parts on Bezozon.. i mean Amazon... they should be here this week then will start the process :)

Bought 2 JQDML 12V Heavy Duty Linear Actuator - 12 Inch Stroke (Amazon) for Queen bed lifts. Both floor & lid are 3/8" plywood. Not worried about lid mount because I can bolt right through it. Concerned about the floor mount because I can't get under to bolt - just have to use 2 short lag bolts.

I have placement figured out, but... doesn't placement have to be exact - like exact? If it doesn't close perfectly, doesn't it put tremendous stress on the weaker floor mount? Same stresses as if it doesn't close enough or if it tries to run further than closed.

Does it need to stop exactly when the lid contacts the box, and if so, how do I possibly determine that exact measurement?
