We have a 2026 Freelander 26DS. Does anyone know how the outside (window) wall of the slide is made? I am making a head board, and will be covering the window. I want to mount it to the outside wall. Is the framing aluminum, or wood, and how thick?
I won't be using big screws, but, still don't want to go through anywhere.

May want to use a really strong double sided tape, rather than dri,ll into the wall. These walls are not very thick.

Corner of our headboard came loose. I used the heavy duty command strip Velcro to put the corner back.

Never moved again once that was affixed.
