Our ventana has the OEM one on. Never noticed an issue. I do worry about it if their is a concrete stop ramp at back of space, so BH watches, and stops me before I hit, or allows me to clear it so it hangs down. Ours seems to be adjusted about right.
 
Took mine off after finding pebbles at the bottom of the windshield and was getting dings on the front of the GC. Haven't found a pebble yet since taking it off and haven't had overheating issues.
 
Update, today went to coach, when after few days air pressure drops, bags deflate, the mud flap is almost touching ground, when air pressure up, about 4-6 inches clearance. Have not had mud/rocks/etc get onto jeep period, so mine must be adjusted correctly.
