Low standby current inverters use sleep mode. That function in my view is a failure.

6w load over night is so low(maybe 6 amps overnight), is the least of ones problems. Any inverter that regulates fan speed can be left on if you have any solar.
Good to know. Someone posted that their fan runs all the time but mine does not seem to do that when I have both battery banks powering it. That might just be a coincidence and it was just the load at the time. With the Solar generator in for repairs, I added a second 2000 watt inverter to my 500 watt inverter since I am now missing the 3000 watt.

I now plug mine into the inverter. I plan on contacting StarLink to see whats up? I am not sure the DC-DC would use much less than using my inverter. Which one did you buy?
I bought this one - LINK. My choice was to cover all bases. Sometimes I hike carrying the Mini with the small power bank, and the DC to DC converter is light enough to carry if I want to.

I searched and found the issue:
"The Problem: The standard 50-foot Starlink cable is designed for the high-voltage AC adapter. If you run that long, thin cable on a 12V system, it creates a significant voltage drop. The voltage at the dish can drop below 11V, causing the unit to power-cycle or fail to connect. [1, 2]"
Right now my mini is fixed to a telescopic pole that mounts to the side of the motorhome and I only need about 20 feet of cable. I could shorten the cable and it would work, but then my option of positioning it away from the motor home (trees) disappears. I am going to get your DC/DC converter and mount it next to my inverter. Gives me two power options and one cable. I like your portable idea as well.👍 Thanks!
