Beginning May 1, tent campsites will range from $20 to $30, and RV campsites with full hookups (electric, water and sewer) will cost $45. Campsite reservations made by 11:59 p.m. on April 30 will not be affected by the price increases.

That's crazy cheap for FHS compared to up here.

I'm realizing now they're talking about state parks. My closest state park is $60 a night with full hookups. Most FHU campgrounds start around $75 for cheapest.

wouldn't that keep RVers from wanting to go to those parks if it keeps going up in price? I keep seeing states saying they are getting less and less RVers going through their state.... maybe cause they keep raising their prices to park.

The high water mark for State Park camping occurred during the pandemic. Measuring current participation, if they're doing that, against that benchmark, would be misleading. State Parks in Texas stay pretty much booked this time of year.
