Good Afternoon! I am new to RV life, but I am super excited to join the community. I am going to be purchasing an RV to live in as I relocate to the Charlotte/ Mooresville, NC area. I will be living in the RV full time and year round. Do you have an recommendations for RV parks or Campgrounds that allow year round living?

Oh boy! That is a tough location. 321 RV Park is doing an expansion. It is located in Maiden though. It’s well kept. No amenities. Out in the country. Nice owners.

Sherrills Ford has a couple. I’ve only stayed at Lake Norman Motorcoach Resort so I can’t comment on Cross Country or Wildlife Woods. LNMCR was never really a motorcoach resort or even a resort. I still stay there when I visit family, but it eventually won’t have any rv sites as they are filling it up with tiny homes.

Good luck. Let us know what you find. 😊

I’ll throw this out there simply because I know of it. This is not a recommendation, per se, but something you may want to look into.

Carowinds has an RV park that I overnight in occasionally. There are some units in there that I have observed occupying the same sites for years.

That area is growing so fast I am surprised that Cross Country or Wildlife Woods hasn't been bought up and a development put in there. If you could I would look in the Troutman area for a 1/2 acre of land and buy it if possible.

Thank you so much for the recommendation. I was really looking at LNMCR, but it seems on the high priced end.. do you think it is worth it?

It is worth it to me due to the location as I have family nearby. I’ve been meaning to check out Wildlife Woods but have not gotten around to it yet. It is just down the street.

If you don’t mind the suggestion, I would pick a place for a week or two and then go scout out all the campgrounds including Statesville and Mocksville to find what works best for you. It’s hard, but hopefully you will find a good spot

Good luck in your move and let us know what you discover.
