We currently have a 2020 Fleetwood Flair class A and just realized our suburban is not towable because it is only 4 high. So we are looking for a smaller option that will still seat 6 for traveling around campsite areas when we travel. Really don't want any type of Jeep. Any other options that are easy to flat tow?

Your options are very limited.

Suburban/tahoe with proper 4wd
Chevy truck with 6 passenger seating (4wd)
Ford/ram trucks with proper 4wd and 6 passenger seating

Otherwise a front wheel drive vehicle like a mini van or other 6 passenger automobile with a tow dolly.

We did the Chevy truck with 6 passenger seating for 12 years before the older 2 kids left. Now we have a jeep.

No jeep? Why? We flat tow a grand Cherokee long, 3 row seating, lots of room and tows great

We will be buying something outright, so older, and have had nothing but issues with anything jeep in the past. Just not interested in someone else’s hand-me-down problems.

We are thinking staying on the smaller SUV side would be ideal for towing. We have been looking at Lexus GX 470 (we know Toyota doesn’t recommend flat towing at all), but see tons of Toyota toads on the roads. Is that something not worth looking into?

It won’t flat tow without modification, which is only possible on a few model.

Here is a list of years and models that are flat towable. More choices the older you go.

A Chevy traverse may be an option depending on year.

Agree with all here. If you NEED 6, then my question is 6 what? For example, my two daughters were very tall. And now, one husband is 6’4” 240#, so there’s hardly a six-seater that would suit them unless it was a Tahoe/Suburban model style.

So, if you need the room and comfort, nothing will beat a Tahoe/Yukon with third-seat. Ya just lose pretty much ALL of the cargo space.

My 3 cents.

It’s my husband, myself and our 4 kids aging 2-15. So six seats required. I got the suburban for the cargo room, but don’t need that while traveling and just going from campsite to explore when we get to destinations.
