I purchased a 2018 Kodiak 201QB on Wednesday and am looking forward to the PDI and delivery next Wednesday.

The trailer is in excellent shape and it's evident it wasn't used very much. A couple of small repairs plus a hitch install is being performed by the dealer prior to delivery.

First things I need to do is replace the tires (date code 1117), transfer what is in the teardrop to the Kodiak, plan an overnight at a nearby RV park, run through all the features and operations one more time, and get ready to enjoy the next camping trips. I will be towing the trailer with my 2024 Ram 2500.

Here are some pictures of the truck and the trailer.

We completed the PDI and walk through on the trailer this morning, then I went to the tire store and had them install 4 new ST rated tires.

We still have a steep learning curve but, hey, we are going to take it slow and one step at a time. We'll work out the division of labor later!

I am already making a list. I need to extend the fresh water drain valve towards the outside of the trailer so it's easier to get to. It is well under the trailer, and you end up crawling around in the dirt to get to it!

Anyway, so far so good. The dealer did pretty well during the walk through but could not answer my question about the 10 AMP solar connection on the side of the trailer. He said a bunch of things with no definitive answer. I think he said it accepts solar power to charge up the batteries. But it's labeled as 10 AMP, not 12 AMP and then something about the solar controller and inverter. But he couldn't answer my question as to whether or not I can use this and have it charge the house batteries.

Oh, the mysteries of how things work continue!

It seems very spacious, best of luck with it!
