I am the new kid on the block on this site, but I am a long time RVer. I was lucky to have grown up in a camping family in the '60's and '70's. My late father dreamed of going into full time RVing when he retired. He used to tell me that "My living room will stay the same, but my front yard will keep changing!". Sadly, he died before he got to retire.

I have camped in everything from tents, trailers, and now a Class A motor home. We are not full time yet, even though I retired 5 years ago. However, we have made a few extended trips in the motor home.

Welcome to the newest RV Community @jhempel01 - it's great to have you here. Sorry to hear of your father's story but it's a lesson we hear all the time and that's why it's important to live today as there is no guarantee for tomorrow so get that coach and travel and pursue your dreams now. Looking forward to hearing your stories in your Class A ahead.

Welcome aboard, J! Glad to have you here with us. As Neal said, your dad's story is all-too-commonly heard. Sorry that he didn't get to live his dream. I do like his description that
"My living room will stay the same, but my front yard will keep changing!".
Great description of the RV experience.
