I hope I never have to face that decision. It would be very difficult, and I can honestly say that I don't know what I would do until faced with it.
I am for the protection of the drivers that would otherwise be raped, killed, or physically assaulted by the protestors.
On the other hand, as the driver, I would have a hard time making that decision, especially if I was alone in the vehicle. Even if I had all of my family, and I was facing a group of young people chained with PVC pipe gloves across the highway, I would still hesitate.
I know for certain that my vehicle can withstand damage, and I will live. The problem is what if they decide to burn the vehicle? HOw long do I wait until I know for certain they are going to try to kill me vs just cause damage to my property?
I know that in states like OK, TX, FL, and many others, protecting your property is your legal right. I personally would allow my property to get damaged to save the idiots life, if I knew for sure that is where it would end.
There are so many variables, I honestly don't know how to handle it and pray that God will not allow me to be in a situation that I have to make that decision.
Same goes for the gun I carry. I hope I never have to use it.
