Hello- any input would be welcome. Trying to decide on an rv. It will mostly be in one place on my son’s property, not traveling. Any recommendations on a sturdy rv? Or ideas ?

If you're not going to travel with it, I'd recommend something like a park model.

Or, if you're handy, build a cabin.

Where are you located? Are you someplace where it freezes in the winter? Do you have a way to get power (30 or 50 AMPS) to the location where it will be parked? How about water? You will also need to drain the waste. If the home has a septic system, you could likely drain into that, as long as it is level or down hill. Draining uphill doesn't work so well.

Will you have a reasonably level place to park it?

Just want to make sure you are thinking this through, so you don't get in over your head.

We have an extra RV on our property for guests because the permitting for a guest house was more of a PITA than we were willing to endure.
It’s just a 16’ bumper tow, enough for two or three people (if one of them is a little kid). We built a pole barn to keep the sun off of it, ran 30A power and water to it, but no sewer. We have a clean out on the septic and a tote tank to dispose of waste.

A pole barn is a good way to prolong the life of your RV and it really wasn’t that expensive .
