New member from Texas — excited to join the RV community

Hi everyone. I'm from Austin Texas and recently joined RVForums because I'm getting deeper into the RV world and wanted to learn from people who actually travel this way.
My wife and I have been putting together some pretty ambitious RV travel plans, including extended trips around the country and visits to many of the major national parks.
I'm especially interested in learning from experienced RVers about routes, campgrounds, destinations, and the things you wish you'd known before taking some of your bigger trips.

Help us help you if you would. Take a few minutes and fill out your profile so we can see how best to help.
Part of the joy of this is the "adventure" of it whether it's mental or mechanical. You will almost always be minutes from a Home Depot or a Walmart usually no worries.

Build a small toolbox, screwdrivers, pliers, a few wrenches, wire cutters, scissors, flash light, fuses, volt meter and the list will grow over time.

A few test runs are always helpful. Go to a park near home for a couple of days. Test out the camper, figure out the systems and processes. It's a lot easier to do this near home than when you're hundreds of miles away.
