new to me 2006 scottsdale ,heat question ,When I try to turn on the heat from the thermostat,I don't see a furnace function, only a heat pump ( and the heat pump works) .I have a furnace, how do I turn on the furnace ?

Since I used to travel around in a 2005 Newmar, I will assume you have the 5-button Dometic Duo-Therm thermostat.

Normally, the furnace function will appear in the thermostat’s LCD window upon pushing the mode button. If it doesn’t appear, you may need to reset the thermostat with this procedure:

1. Turn the switch off.
2. Now at the same time press both the mode and the zone buttons while turning the switch back to On.
3. As you are doing that the letters FF should appear in the digital display and will remain there until you release both the zone and mode buttons. Depending on your model these letters could appear right away or in 15 seconds give or take a few seconds.
4. Hold the zone and mode buttons until these letters do appear, then release the buttons when they do. Your system should be reset and ready to work.

That’s the best guidance I can provide at this point. Let us know if this worked for you.
