New to RVing

Thanks for allowing me to join the group. I'm trying to learn more about the best brands of RVs, that have the best reviews, construction, quality to purchase. I am leaning toward a pull-behind trailer but I will consider a fifth wheel also.

By the way, are there any settings for my profile that I can change the daily email from this group, like changing to weekly for instance??

Welcome aboard. I think you will find that most folks here are pretty friendly and willing to share their knowledge. Best brands...... I think you will find that many people are biased just like "who makes the best car". The best RV for you is one that mostly fits your wants and needs. My thinking is first and foremost "Floor Plan". You need to be happy with your surroundings. Construction is important. I think you will find that most RVs are built quite similar until you get into higher end models. You Tube may be helpful in your quest for information. For Example Jayco has one that shows their process. I class Jayco as a "better" quality make (but my bias is showing!! ).

Newmar is an upscale make, There are many Newmar owners here.

I'm pretty sure that you will find videos for many different makes.

No matter what year, make or model (new or used) you plan to purchase, it is in your best interest to have it professionally inspected BEFORE you buy. You Tube is also full of videos made by dissatisfied owners. Viewing a few of them may be helpful too. I suggest that you don't judge any or all manufacturers from these videos.

Further, and you probably don't want to hear this but.... Any RV you purchase will likely need on going maintenance and repairs even if you purchase a high end make. It helps if you are a handy kind of guy.
