Hello everyone, i am just starting to do research. I am retired and the wife will be retiring next year. We are contemplating purchasing a used RV motorhome to live in and travel as our home. I would appreciate any and all advice, good and bad. We are not independently wealthy and will be living primarily off SS. I do have an early cancer diagnoses(prostate) but dr's are not concerned, so neither am I .
So i guess my questions would be, Type, Brand, Gas, Diesel, Maintenance , Insurance & clubs ?
I am mechanically inclined (Gas engines)
Thanks in Advance,
Brian B.

Welcome from Georgia!

Welcome from Texas. My wife and I are both retired. At this point we are part timers but have lately been talking about saying our home and traveling full time. I don't know much about what you are looking for but every state has state parks and corp parks that are less expense than privately owned parks. Those you can buy passes for and save money when staying. We splurge once in a while and get a site at a private park.

Hi Skipper, thanks for the reply ? may I ask what size RV you travel in? We currently do not own our home and I am hoping to be debt free by years end, aside from medical’s.
I am wondering what is an aprox number to use as a guide for maintenance?

Alpha Wolf 22SW-L | Forest River RV - Manufacturer of Travel Trailers - Fifth Wheels - Tent Campers - Motorhomes The is what we bought and I pull it with a 2020 Ford F-150 V-6 Ecoboost engine and Max Tow package. The trailer is set up for just two people. We do travel with a small 4 1/2 lb yorkie.
